Shore thing

It's been pretty all this crisp spring day. And these late afternoon waves are just a small part of it.

In the Navy

That is a deep blue stripe there along the horizon.

Vast

I think I've used this title before, but that is the best way to explain how the Lake looks with just the right combination of light, and breeze, and cool. From Monday, 4/26/10.

Sea Change

Full fathom five thy father lies;
Of his bones are coral made:
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.
---Shakespeare, The Tempest
Something water-related for Shakespeare's birthday, which was last Friday, 4/23/10.

Bluer than Blue

It's a crazy busy time, so I missed taking any photo on Wednesday 4/21, which was a shame--the lake and sky looked different every two minutes or so. Lots of activity, and the para-boarders (or whatever those guys are called) were out, too. Thursday, 4/22/10, was a little calmer.

Yellow-ish

Again, the colors were really different in person, but the hazy stripe on the horizon looked yellow in person as well as on this photo. From this morning, 4/20/10.

Gunmetal

This looked more gray in person. There's a boat out there--that little white dot. From Monday, 4/19/10.

Serene

Beautiful sky this morning.

I'm Leaving!

So said this tree. By Monday it will be green. From Thursday, 4/15/10.

lazy hazy

Warming up, getting steamy. From Wednesday, 4/14/10.

Epic

This is the 300th lakemichiblog post! Thanks for visiting!

Emerald-like

In person, that strip on the horizon looked bright green. From Friday, 4/09/10.

Patch of Light

From Thursday, 4/08/10. Wednesday was really busy! No pic!

Gloomy

It was foggy and rainy the past two days--this is from Tuesday, 4/6/10. Not much to see here.

BUT, this is probably going to be a very exciting day--we are 10 hits away from the 10,000 visitors mark, so today, April 7, 2010 will be a lakemichiblog Day to Remember! And all because of some icebergs.

Three Sisters

Yesterday evening's walk yielded this photo of a triple cloud formation.

The long view.
By the time we left they had melded into one long cloud.

Soft Spring Morning

Light pastels greeted on Friday morning, 4/2/10.

Nevermore!

Should I be worried to have seen this outside my window today? Or does the fact that it is April 1 (and that's not a raven) mean I'm immune?
Sunny sparkly spring morning.
A few hours later, and the boats were out, and lots of parasailors, too.

Transitioning

Things were a little hazy on Wednesday 3/31/10. The temperature climbed about 30 degrees. Spring is finally here!

Duck!

Click on the picture to enlarge, and you might be able to tell that the black speck in the middle is an adorable duck. Or a duck anyway, if not adorable. Or some kind of water fowl. Just click on it! From Tuesday, 3/30/10.

Breakthrough

If you click on the picture, you'll see a little patch of sun on the water where it has broken through the clouds above. From Monday, 3/29/10.
