Too Much

Looky here! What an interesting surprise on the lakefront on Tuesday!
Apparently this steamshovel (backhoe?) is trying to re-route the channel that the Pike River created after all the sand piled up this winter.
Whatever the reason, it was an unexpected surprise (and the Lake behind it is extra-beautiful, too!) From Tuesday, 5/24/11.

Blump

Cute little cloud there, along an otherwise hazy horizon. There was impressive fog around noon, but it burned off by the time I took this, at 4pm.

Bluey

This blue is almost smurf-like. From Friday, 2/29/11.

Stripey

The sun is trying to come out and stay out, but it does not always succeed. Nonetheless, the lake has some pretty stripes most of the time lately. From Thursday, 4/28/11.

Looking Up?

Subtle stripes this afternoon. Missed yesterday, which was full of sunshine and boats.

Too Many Views

This is the late afternoon view, about 5:10pm today. Earlier, the Lake looked nearly white. It is so weird. If I could still take photos from my own window, I'd take 10 every day. It's different every 10 minutes or so.

Fierce

I did not manage to get a good shot of the waves, but they were something today. Strong and LOUD. Missed yesterday, which was pretty with shades of blue and green running through the water. Sigh. Things will lighten up soon, I hope, both on the water and in life.

In the Navy

That is a deep blue stripe there along the horizon.

Emerald-like

In person, that strip on the horizon looked bright green. From Friday, 4/09/10.

Love the stripes of color here, though by finally catching up on postings, I'm about to bump the stalagmites off the front page, which is sort of why I've held off this long. That's why this is from Sunday, and today is Thursday.
