There's a New Year's Eve Blue Moon tonight, a once in a few decades occurance. I'm so glad I was there to watch the moon rise over the clouds. Happy New Year to all! More pics below:

Tuesday it started to cool off and lighten up. Cool rays here.
I don't know how to prevent those sunspot reflections on the lens, and I'm not sure I really want to.

Dull and cloudy from Wednesday 12/09. The rest of the Midwest got buried in snow, and we got nada. The warm Lake is making the air too warm for real snow to fall here. I feel cheated!
Usually, when the Lake gets all roiled up during a storm, the water turns chocolaty brown. So far today it is hanging onto the green with a stripe of blue. The clouds are full of snow, which is falling sparsely, but we expect a whole lot more in the coming hours.
There are only so many ways to title a post about the colors induced by the setting sun. But here are some more of those pretty pics, anyway. From Monday, 12/7/09.

I like that warm glow on the horizon almost as much as I like this tree. It looks good in every photo.
