Tiny moon, big sky. From late July 2011.

Twilight Blue

This is an old photo from 3/19/11, the second evening of the legendary giant moon. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy and the moon was hidden. But it still cast enough light to create this really interesting layered blue shot. (This is so late because it was on the "good" camera, which I just downloaded today.)

Big Moon

There's an extra special full moon rising tonight.
So I took some extra special pictures of it shining on our beloved Lake.
A lovely walk to the beach with my lovely family to end a lovely week.

New Blue Year

There's a New Year's Eve Blue Moon tonight, a once in a few decades occurance. I'm so glad I was there to watch the moon rise over the clouds. Happy New Year to all! More pics below:
Setting sun produces beautiful colors.
The pier is lit up.

Hint of a Half Moon

If you were here, you could have seen it. If you look at that white-ish spot of ice on the water, and then look directly above it, you can see the hint of the half moon, which was visible here at NOON. I can still see it now, but it is too high to get a pic of the moon and the Lake. And that's why we are here, people, to give you pictures of the LAKE, not some random satellite.

Good Moon Rising

I took this at about 4pm. Amazing to see the moon so clearly.
