Right Before My Very Eyes
There was a thick covering of fog on the Lake when I arrived at work on Wednesday morning, 2/29/12. After an hour or so, it began to clear, so I stepped outside to snap some photos.
The combination of fog and sunlight made for some beautiful effects.
As I snapped photos, the fog quickly dissipated.
Thinning out.
Sun coming through.
Nearly gone.
Sun shining brightly.
Sometimes, the timing is just exactly right.

Snow Beautiful
Winter arrived, for a short time anyway.
The snow was still falling this morning as the sun attempted to shine.
Big, wet flakes clung to every tree branch and rock.
Fence posts were topped with pure white mounds of snow.
Most of it is gone from the trees at 2pm, but it was beautiful while it lasted.

Light Sublime
Reflected on the slight waves, shining bright on the horizon. This was one of those mornings when I rounded the corner for my first view of the Lake and had to gasp. From 2/13/12.

After the Storm
In the wee hours of the morning, there was a terrible storm. Lots of rain and wind, waves I could hear from my closed up house three blocks away. But oh, what a beautiful morning! These were taken around 9am.
Here is some video footage of the much-calmed, but still beautiful, waves.
